Description
PA-CB2 Specifications

The PA-CB2 micro control box is our most compact control box which offers convenient plug-and-play control capabilities for our micro linear actuators and the ability to pair up to 4 wireless remotes. Using the included wireless remote, users can access functions such as up, down, programming modes, and stop from a range of 60ft (18m) in the open air. The micro control box has an automatic power saving mode (2.3mA at 12VDC) with instant wake-up, wireless remote mode selection, smooth motion mode, momentary and non-momentary control, and LED indicator.

Safety features include overload and reverse input voltage protection. Using the included wire harness with connectors, connect your micro linear actuator to the micro control box. Apply 10 to 14.5 VDC across the power wires and the system is now ready to use. Please see the PA-CB2 Data Sheet for information about controls, wiring, and troubleshooting.

FAQ
What actuator types are compatible with the PA-CB2, and how should I wire them for plug-and-play operation?

The PA-CB2 is a plug-and-play actuator control box with a 2-pin Molex SL Plug on one end that plugs directly to the 2-pin Molex SL Receptacle of the PA-MC1 for micro actuator compatibility.

How does the power-saving mode on the PA-CB2 work and what is its typical standby current draw?

After an idle timeout, the low power actuator controller enters power-saving mode with a 2.3mA standby current draw to maximize energy efficiency. Reactivate the control box with the single press of any button on the remote (90mS response time) to wake the unit instantly.

What functions can be accessed via the wireless remote and how many remotes can be paired with the PA-CB2?

The PA-CB2 wireless remote supports access for extension, retraction, stop, and programming modes. The PA-CB2 can have up to 4 remotes paired to one control box.

How can I switch between momentary and non-momentary modes or enable smooth motion mode?

For actuator mode selection and enabling smooth motion control, you must first enter programming mode, which allows the user to program the Control Box settings:

Programming Mode

1. Apply power to the Control Box.

2. Entering Programming Mode: Press and hold the M button for 7 seconds, then release the button.

3. Programming Mode: Pressing a button will initiate a specific programming mode, see Operating Instructions.

4. Exiting Programming Mode:

a. Pressing M button once will return to Normal Mode.

b. Normal Mode will resume after 15 seconds if no buttons are pressed while in Programming Mode.

Changing Between Momentary and Non-Momentary

1. Enter Programming Mode

2. Press the UP button once to switch between Momentary and Non-Momentary control.

3. Normal Mode automatically resumes.

Smooth Motion Control (OFF by default)

1. Enter Programming Mode

2. Press the S button once to toggle Smooth Motion ON or OFF.

3. Normal Mode automatically resumes after pressing the button.

What safety protections are included in the PA-CB2, and how do they prevent damage during incorrect wiring or overload?

The PA-CB2 fail-safe features include overload safety protection and input reverse voltage protection that shuts off operation in case of input power miswiring and overload conditions.
